Repair or replacement? Start with the damage

Our usual starting guideline for repair is a small, localized chip or crack with a damaged area smaller than a half-dollar coin. Size alone does not determine repairability: depth, location, damage pattern, and proximity to the driver’s view, cameras, or sensors also matter.

We inspect the damage before confirming a repair. If we determine that the area cannot be repaired, windshield replacement is the required option.

Photos help us begin the assessment, but the final recommendation may require a physical inspection.

What a windshield repair can achieve

$75 per incident or damaged area. We use a professional GlasWeld windshield repair system to treat suitable damage with specialized resin.

Typical turnaround: within one hour. We confirm repairability and timing after assessing the glass.

The aim is to stabilize suitable damage and preserve the existing windshield. A repair may improve its appearance, but a visible mark can remain. Damage can sometimes spread during an attempted repair; we discuss expectations before proceeding.

Match the replacement to your vehicle

Start with your VIN. In most cases, the vehicle identification number helps us identify the windshield specification your vehicle needs. We also confirm relevant equipment and any previous glass changes before ordering.

OEM factory windshield: an original-equipment option for customers who prefer factory glass.

Aftermarket windshield: a more budget-friendly alternative, with the specification and compatibility confirmed for your vehicle.

Tell us about features such as a head-up display, rain sensor, heated windshield, or camera near the rearview mirror. We review the proposed glass and any related work before confirming your quote.

Replacement turnaround varies with OEM or aftermarket inventory and the delivery time of the required windshield. We confirm availability and scheduling once the glass is identified.

Camera calibration belongs in the plan

Vehicles with windshield-mounted driver-assistance cameras may require calibration after glass replacement. Requirements depend on the vehicle manufacturer and the work performed.

Ask us to confirm whether calibration is required for your vehicle, how it will be arranged, and whether it is included in your quote. Replacing the glass alone does not confirm that camera alignment is correct.

What to expect before and after service

Before booking: share your VIN, photos of the damage, vehicle details, existing windshield tint or protection film, and your preferred appointment date.

Before work: confirm repair versus replacement, the glass specification where applicable, the agreed scope, and pricing.

At handover: follow the vehicle-specific instructions provided, including the minimum time before driving after replacement and any temporary washing restrictions. Timing depends on the installation materials and conditions; do not assume you can drive immediately.

Existing tint or exterior protection film may need to be replaced separately. Tell us what is currently installed so we can include that discussion in your quote.

Send us your windshield details

Repairable chips and small cracks are $75 per incident or damaged area, usually completed within one hour. Replacement pricing and timing depend on the required windshield, your OEM or aftermarket choice, availability, and any related work.

Send your VIN, vehicle year, make, and model, one photo of the full windshield, and close-up photos of the damage. Tell us where it is located and whether it has been repaired before.

If you plan to use insurance, check coverage and your deductible with your insurer. Coverage and payment arrangements need confirmation.
